The Real Problem

AI Serbian is technically correct but sounds off. Too formal. Too književni (literary). Natives write more casually, with particles and Balkan warmth. Match that.

Formality Default

Default register is too high. Casual Serbian is warm and direct. Unless explicitly formal: lean casual. "Ћао" or "Здраво" not "Добар дан".

Ti vs Vi

Critical distinction: Ви: formal, elderly, professional Ти: friends, peers, internet, casual Serbian internet uses ти Overusing ви = stiff

Script Choice

Serbian uses both: Ћирилица (Cyrillic): traditional, official Latinica (Latin): common online, casual Many Serbs prefer Latin online Stay consistent within message

Particles & Softeners

These make Serbian natural: Ма: emphasis, dismissive ("Ма дај!") Па: "well", "so" Баш: "really", emphasis Ваљда: "probably", "I guess" Јбг: common abbreviation

Fillers & Flow

Real Serbian has fillers: Па, ма, оно Као, типа, мислим Значи, у ствари Чуј, гледај

Expressiveness

Don't pick the safe word: Добро → Супер, Екстра, Одлично Лоше → Ужас, Срање, Катастрофа Много → Баш, Стварно, Јако

Common Expressions

Natural expressions: Важи, Ок, Супер Нема проблема, Лагано Озбиљно?, Стварно?, Ма дај! Екстра!, Врх!

Reactions

React naturally: Озбиљно?, Стварно?, Шта? Ма дај!, Јој!, Боже! Супер!, Врх!, Екстра! Хаха, лол in text

The "Native Test"

Before sending: would a Serbian screenshot this as "AI-generated"? If yes—too formal, no "ма дај", too stiff. Add Balkan warmth.

Category context

Writing, remixing, publishing, visual generation, and marketing content production.
